The internet pursues a permanent change. Every time a new version of a web browser is introduced new opportunities of design and interaction pop up simultaneously. This is why it is of most importance to pose oneself the following question: "Which of all these technologies shall I choose to reach my aim most successfully?"

A general solution for this problem can not be found of course. For instance, if you compare a sports company to a local financial institute they will definitely choose different technologies for their homepages.

But once you have found an answer to the former question nothing can go wrong really. At least as long as you stick to the rule: minimalism is better than exaggeration.
